Saintes ; Poitevin-Saintongeais: Sénte) er en kommune og historisk by i det vestlige Frankrig, i Charente-Maritime-afdelingen, hvor den er en underpræfektur, i Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Dens indbyggere kaldes Saintaises og Saintais. Saintes er den næststørste by i Charente-Maritime med 26.470 indbyggere i 2008. Byens umiddelbare omgivelser danner det næststørste befolkede metropolområde i afdelingen med 56.598 indbyggere. Mens et flertal af det omkringliggende landskab består af frugtbare, produktive marker, forbliver en betydelig minoritet af regionen skovklædt, i sin naturlige tilstand.
