En lille landbrugslandsby beliggende 10 miles nordvest for Saint-Omer, på D217 vejen, der ligger i dalen ved floden Hem ved foden af Boulonnais, som er en skovklædt ryg på dette punkt. To hamle, Audenfort mod vest og Le Hamel mod øst, udgør resten af kommunen.
Den seneste historie om landsbyen var præget af oversvømmelsen af floden den 13. august 2006. Den stenbro i landsbyens centrum, som blev bygget i 1862, blev ødelagt efter usædvanligt kraftig regn oppe af Licques. Floden, som normalt er stille, havde akkumuleret så meget fart, at den blev til en ukontrollerbar torrent.
