Orange, kaldet « Prinsernes By », er en fransk kommune beliggende nordvest for departementet Vaucluse i regionen Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Orange's position, et kryds af ruter mod nord, Spanien eller Italien, gemt i hjertet af et landbrugsområde, har gjort det til en attraktiv placering for romerne, fra hvilke man finder mange rester, primært omkring bakken Saint-Eutrope og det gamle teater. I middelalderen bliver byen hovedstad i fyrstedømmet Orange og forbliver det indtil sin anneksion af Frankrig, officielt bekræftet i Utrecht-traktaterne i 1713.
