Vesoul er en kommune i den franske departement Haute-Saône og har 15.623 indbyggere. Stedet er en del af arrondissementet Vesoul. I det 12. århundrede blev der bygget et slot på bakken La Motte i byen. Byen inden for byens mure havde et areal på 8 ha. Der var fem offentlige vandpumper inden for byen. Vinavl var vigtig indtil anden halvdel af det 19. århundrede, og også inden for byens mure, på slotshøjen, var der vinmarker.
