Pau er en by i Frankrig. Med 75.627 indbyggere den 1. januar 2019 er det den største by og samtidig præfektur i departementet Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Det ligger i regionen Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Indtil 1914 var Pau et mondænt kursted, hvor især englændere kom for at søge den sunde bjergluft. Villaerne fra dengang har givet plads til betonlejlighedsbyggerier, men Boulevard des Pyrénées med sin udsigt er forblevet. Pau er det tredje økonomiske og universitetscenter i det sydvestlige Frankrig efter Bordeaux og Toulouse.
