Lewes er et lokalt regeringsområde i East Sussex i det sydlige England, der dækker et område på 113 kvadratmil, med 9 miles kystlinje. Det er opkaldt efter sit administrative centrum, Lewes. Andre byer i distriktet inkluderer Newhaven, Peacehaven, Seaford og Telscombe. Plumpton racerbane ligger inden for distriktet. Der er 28 sogne i distriktet.
Distriktet blev dannet den 1. april 1974 ved Local Government Act 1972, og var en fusion af den tidligere by Lewes sammen med Newhaven og Seaford byområder og Chailey landdistrikt.
