Lytchett Matravers er en landsby og civil parish i Dorset, England. Folketællingen i 2011 registrerede sognet med 1.439 husstande og en befolkning på 3.424.
Navnet stammer fra det brytoniske litchet, som betyder "grå skov" og det normanniske efternavn "Maltravers." Indtil den normanniske erobring af England i 1066 besad en dansk lord ved navn Tholf godset Lytchett.
En alternativ afledning af navnet Lytchett er fra ordet lynchet eller linchet, som er en jordterrasse, der findes på siden af en bakke. Lynchetter er et kendetegn ved gamle marksystemer på De Britiske Øer. Sådanne terrasser var synlige i Garden Wood over Kirken og Godset i 1970'erne.
