Maria kapellet i Gilze (kommune Gilze en Rijen) består af en mur af mursten med et saddeltag. I nischen er der placeret en skulptur af Maria med barnet i natursten.
Historien
Maria kapellet i Gilze (kommune Gilze en Rijen) blev grundlagt af beboerne i plejehjemmet Sankt Fransiscus i taknemmelighed for at man under Anden Verdenskrig var blevet skånet.
I Gilze faldt der mange ofre og bygninger blev ødelagt under Anden Verdenskrig. Gilze lå i anflyvningsruten til lufthavnen Gilze-Rijen, hvilket gjorde, at byen (ufrivilligt) blev ramt af allierede bombninger.
Grundlæggelse
Alligevel forblev plejehjemmet på Kirkevejen uskadt. Derfor blev der dengang lovet Maria at der efter krigen ville blive opført et markkapel til hendes ære.

Kapellet blev indviet den 2. oktober 1948.
