Ved siden af Noorderbos blev de første 46 træer af Fødselseskoven plantet i 2007. Fødselseskoven skal symbolisere, at alle børn har ret til at vokse op i et sundt miljø. Forældre beslutter selv, om de vil købe et træ. Fra hver årgang bliver navnene på de nyfødte nævnt på plader i skoven. Det særlige ved Tilburgs Fødselseskov er, at den er knyttet til en lignende skov i Matagalpa. For hvert træ i Tilburg bliver der plantet et i søsterbyen i Nicaragua. Fondet Nationale Trædag begyndte allerede i 1990 at plante træer for nye verdensborgere i Fødselseskove.
