Ohne Zweifel ist diese Wanderung die schönste und auch die einfachste Abkürzung der Insel, von West nach Ost. Von Ano Aprovátou bis Strapouriés, wo die Wanderung offiziell endet, ist sie sehr gut durch das Wegzeichen [9] gekennzeichnet. Die Landschaft ist die ganze Strecke über fantastisch, zunächst mit schönen Ausblicken auf die Küste nahe Paleópolis und mit einem fast "Alpen-ähnlichen Gefühl" im Abschnitt nach Pitrofós.
Die Monopátia waren vor ein paar Jahren einfach wunderschön, über die gesamte Länge der Wanderung, aber kürzlich hat eine Kiesstraße den alten Weg über eine Strecke von 20 Minuten zerstört, wirklich schade. Ein großer Teil des Weges besteht jedoch immer aus Kalderímia, die sehr gut erhalten sind, da es sich um den sehr alten Weg handelt, der von Gávrio und Batsí nach Chóra führte.
