Saba ist die kleinste bewohnte Insel der ehemaligen Niederländischen Antillen. Seit dem 10. Oktober 2010 ist sie zusammen mit ihrer unbewohnten Nebeninsel Green Island eine Besondere Gemeinde der Niederlande in der östlichen Karibik.
Die genaue Bedeutung des Namens Saba ist nicht geklärt. Weit verbreitet ist die Annahme, dass sich der Name Saba aus dem karibischen Wort siba für „Felsen“ herleitet.
