Der Ort liegt am westlichen Rand des Wiener Beckens an der Thermenlinie. Großteils liegt das Siedlungsgebiet in der Ebene. Nur die schon jahrhundertealten Weingärten liegen an den Hängen des Eichkogels und des Anningers am Rande des Wienerwaldes.Das Ortsbild wird unter anderem durch mehrere Teiche geprägt. Einige davon sind von der Gemeinde für die Öffentlichkeit als Badeteiche und Naherholungsgebiet erschlossen, darunter der sogenannte Ozean im Ortsteil Neu-Guntramsdorf und der sogenannte Windradlteich nahe dem Altort. Beide Teiche liegen direkt an der B17 .
