Sankt Nikolai im Sausal ist eine Marktgemeinde mit 2322 Einwohnern im österreichischen Bundesland Steiermark.Nach dem Anschluss Österreichs 1938 an das Deutsche Reich kam die Gemeinde zum Reichsgau Steiermark. 1945 bis 1955 war sie Teil der britischen Besatzungszone in Österreich.
