Im Jahr 1314 wurde erstmals eine Burg erwähnt, die aber gegen Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts zerstört und zwischen 1531 und 1544 als Schloss im Stil der Renaissance wiedererrichtet wurde. 1722 gelangte das Schloss an das alte böhmische Adelsgeschlecht Kinsky, die es 1931 an Gustav und Wilhelm Löw veräußerten. Das Schloss wurde im Jahre 1945 durch Brand zerstört und 1968 zur Gänze abgetragen. Heute steht nur noch ein kleiner Teil der Tormauer. Es gibt von dem einst prachtvollen Schloss einen Stich von Georg Matthäus Vischer.
