Wadeln geschmiert, Bergschuhe geschnürt? Es geht los, und zwar gleich grandios: durch das Naturschutzgebiet des Kaisergebirges, wo die Landschaft mit abwechslungsreicher Schönheit besticht. Die Almregionen legen sanfte Wiesenmatten aus, vom Wilden Kaiser grüßen markante Gipfel wie Maukspitze, Ackerlspitze, Regalpspitze und Törlspitze, die alle ihre Köpfe über 2.000 Meter hoch tragen. Tour Startpunkt ist beim Gasthaus Rummlerhof, nordwestlich vom Ortszentrum St. Johann in Tirol. Auf der Gaudeamushütte kann man nach dieser gelungenen ersten Etappe die Gläser heben und singen: „Gaudeamus igitur – Lasst uns also fröhlich sein!“ Oder man überwindet noch 400 Höhenmeter und steigt über das Klamml hinauf zur Gruttenhütte.
