Das Museum für die Geschichte der Wissenschaften ist Teil der Universität Gent und war bis 2018 auf dem Campus Sterre an der De Pintelaan in Gent untergebracht. Danach wurde die Sammlung auf den Campus Ledeganck als Teil des Gent Universitätsmuseums verlegt.
Das Museum wurde 1948 von Professor Albert Van de Velde als Abteilung des Museums für Altertumswissenschaft gegründet. 1964 beschloss die Universität, das Museum zu übernehmen; die Sammlungen wurden an der Korte Meer untergebracht. 1994 zog das Museum in das Gebäude S30, eine ehemalige Militärhalle, da die Sammlung zu umfangreich geworden war.
