Die Nationale Schießbahn war von 1889 bis 1963 ein militärisches Gelände in Schaarbeek, wo Schützen der Bürgerwehr und der Armee Schießübungen durchführen konnten.
Minister Charles Rogier, der in Belgien auch die Pläne für die erste Eisenbahnlinie unterstützte, und Bürgermeister Eugène Dailly von Schaarbeek spielten eine wichtige Rolle bei der Realisierung des Plans von 1859, auf dem heutigen Daillyplatz eine permanente nationale Schießbahn anzulegen. Damit sprachen sie das Enthusiasmus an, das in dem jungen Belgien für den Schießsport bestand.
