Das Sint-Janscollege in Meldert bei Hoegaarden ist eine katholische Schule für Allgemeine Sekundarbildung. Die katholische Kongregation Aalmoezeniers van de Arbeid, gegründet 1894 in Seraing, begann 1957 mit diesem College. Es war eine Fortsetzung des "Lateinischen Colleges", einer bilingualen apostolischen Schule für Sekundarbildung in Ohain bei Brüssel. Bis 1965 war die Schule in Meldert bilingual. Meldert liegt nahe der Sprachgrenze und Französisch sprechende Schüler nahmen am Unterricht in Klassenräumen in Sluizen, einer Nachbargemeinde "über der Grenze", teil. Die Schule bietet Sekundarbildung an, hauptsächlich Studienrichtungen im allgemeinen Sekundarbereich.
