Der Fluss Hene oder Le Hain schlängelt sich hier durch den Wald hinter dem Schloss Kasteelbrakel. Die Hene ist ein Nebenfluss der Schelde. Die Hene entspringt auf dem Plateau von Anderlues in der belgischen Henegau, durchfließt ab Nimy den Henekom und mündet in die Schelde bei Condé-sur-l'Escaut, direkt über der französischen Grenze zwischen Tournai und Mons. Das Gewässer hat seinem Namen dem früheren Grafenland gegeben, heute Provinz Henegau (Französisch: Hainaut).
