Luchteren ist eine ländliche Gemeinde und Pfarrei in Drongen, einem Stadtteil der ostflämischen Hauptstadt Gent. Luchteren hat ein paar Tausend Einwohner und grenzt an Drongen-Zentrum, Vinderhoute, Lovendegem, Merendree, Landegem und Halewijn.
Luchteren ist weniger belebt und ländlicher als die anderen Pfarreien. Die meisten Geschäfte des Dorfes befinden sich entlang der Antoon Catriestraat, der Boskeetstraat und der Beekstraat, aber die Kirche, die Grundschule und das einzige Café befinden sich an der Gavergrachtstraat.
