Das Wasser, das über diesen großen Mauerwerksverschluss aus dem Boden kommt, stammt nicht direkt von der örtlichen Grundwasserspiegel, sondern von der Überlauf eines in der Waldboden vergrabenen Trinkwassertanks, in der Nähe. Dieses Wasser wird zunächst aus den Quellen eines Flusses namens Bocq in der Provinz Namur gesammelt und über eine mehrere Dutzend Kilometer lange Pipeline zu diesem Reservoir transportiert. Das Wasser aus dieser 'Quelle' stammt also aus Namur, was auch den Namen des Waldstroms rechtfertigt, der ihn speist, den Bocq.
