Die Bivakzone Konijnenberg liegt auf einem weitläufigen Grasland auf dem Gipfel des Konijnenbergs. Die Bivakzone wird auf der einen Seite von einem Kiefernwald und auf den anderen Seiten von halboffenen Wiesenlandschaften und einem offenen Blick über das Demer-Tal begrenzt. Der Weg entlang der Bivakzone wird von einheimischen Freizeitnutzern aus Rillaar sowie von Wanderern und Radfahrern genutzt, die Knotenpunktrouten entlang der Bivakzone folgen.
