Dieses Denkmal erinnert an die Bewohner von Crupet, die im Ersten Weltkrieg getötet oder vermisst wurden.
Für ein kleines Dorf ist dieses Denkmal ziemlich imposant. Es zeugt von der Begeisterung der Bevölkerung zugunsten der Veteranen.
Crupet blieb vom Schrecken der Deutschen weitgehend verschont. Es gibt nur ein ziviles Opfer, Alphons Pierret (1877-1914), der von einem Scharfschützen getötet wurde, als er mit seinem Fahrrad von der Burg zurückkam.
