Bouillon ist ein touristisches Zentrum; im Sommer gibt es viel Campingtourismus entlang des Flusses Semois, der sich um die alte Stadtmitte schlängelt. Die Stadt wird von der mittelalterlichen Burg von Gottfried von Bouillon dominiert. Diese befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der Semois. Diese Burg entstand im 8. Jahrhundert. Ende des 11. Jahrhunderts (1082) verkauft Gottfried von Bouillon die Burg für 3 goldene Mark und 1300 Silbermark an den Fürstbischof von Lüttich. Mit diesem Geld möchte er seinen Beitrag zum ersten Kreuzzug finanzieren.
