Adliswil ist eine politische Gemeinde im Bezirk Horgen des Schweizer Kantons Zürich. Sie ist seit den 1950er Jahren zu einer Kleinstadt in der Agglomeration der Stadt Zürich gewachsen.
Adliswil liegt im unteren Sihltal zwischen Albis und Zimmerberg an der Grenze zur Stadt Zürich. Der Wald umfasst ein Drittel der Gemeindefläche, das Siedlungsgebiet und der Verkehr beinahe die Hälfte, 20 % dienen noch der Landwirtschaft.
