Aetingen, selten auch Ätingen geschrieben, war bis am 31. Dezember 2013 eine politische Gemeinde im Bezirk Bucheggberg des Kantons Solothurn in der Schweiz. Am 1. Januar 2014 fusionierte Aetingen mit den ehemaligen Gemeinden Aetigkofen, Bibern, Brügglen, Gossliwil, Hessigkofen, Küttigkofen, Kyburg-Buchegg, Mühledorf und Tscheppach zur neuen Gemeinde Buchegg.
Aetingen liegt auf 480 m ü. M., 8,5 km südsüdwestlich des Kantonshauptortes Solothurn . Das Strassendorf erstreckt sich leicht erhöht am Südostfuss des Bucheggbergs, am Rand der Ebene des Limpachtals, im Solothurner Mittelland.
