Niedergösgen ist eine politische Gemeinde und Hauptort des Bezirks Gösgen des Kantons Solothurn in der Schweiz.
Niedergösgen liegt auf 377 m ü. M., etwa auf halbem Weg zwischen Olten und Aarau, 4,5 km südwestlich der Stadt Aarau . Das Dorf erstreckt sich am linken Ufer der Aare gegenüber von Schönenwerd, am Jurasüdfuss, im äussersten Osten des Solothurner Mittellandes.
