Lübstorf ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . Die Gemeinde wird vom Amt Lützow-Lübstorf mit Sitz in der Gemeinde Lützow verwaltet. Die Gemeinde war bis zum 31. Dezember 2004 Verwaltungssitz des Amtes Lübstorf/Alt Meteln.
Die am Westufer des Schweriner Sees gelegene Gemeinde ist nur etwa 10 km von der Innenstadt Schwerins entfernt. Der See erreicht in Höhe Lübstorf mit 5000 m seine größte Breite, die Inseln Horst und Rethberg gehören zum Gemeindegebiet. Die Endmoräne, die sich am Westufer des Schweriner Sees hinzieht, wird im Westen vom Tal des Aubaches begrenzt. Die Gemeinde hat einen Anteil am Landschaftsschutzgebiet Trebbow–Rugensee.
