Blankensee ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . Sie gehört dem Amt Löcknitz-Penkun mit Sitz in der Gemeinde Löcknitz an.
Am Südrand der Ueckermünder Heide, direkt an der Grenze zur Republik Polen liegt die Gemeinde Blankensee mit dem Ortsteil Pampow . Im Gebiet ist die Landwirtschaft vorherrschend, die Wälder sind sehr wildreich. Der in der Nähe des Ortes gelegene Obersee wird als Badesee genutzt. Der Schlosssee befindet sich im Norden der Gemeinde direkt auf der Staatsgrenze.
