Betzdorf ist eine Stadt im Landkreis Altenkirchen im nördlichen Teil von Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie ist Verwaltungssitz der Verbandsgemeinde Betzdorf-Gebhardshain. Betzdorf ist eine Eisenbahnerstadt und gemäß Landesplanung als Mittelzentrum ausgewiesen.
Die Stadt Betzdorf liegt etwa 20 km südwestlich von Siegen in einem Talkessel zwischen Westerwald im Süden und Siegerland im Norden. Hier mündet der Fluss Heller in die Sieg. Betzdorf ist die größte Stadt im Landkreis Altenkirchen.
