Bermatingen ist eine Gemeinde im Hinterland des Bodensees, etwa vier Kilometer westlich von Markdorf.
Bermatingen liegt auf 436 m im Linzgau südwestlich des Gehrenbergs im Tal der Seefelder Aach. Die Gemeindefläche umfasst 1545 Hektar, davon sind 23 Hektar Gewerbe-, 114 Hektar Obstanbau-, 372 Hektar Wald-, 35 Hektar Weinanbaufläche.
