Braunsbedra ist eine Stadt im Saalekreis in Sachsen-Anhalt, die im Jahre 1943 aus dem Zusammenschluss der Orte Bedra und Braunsdorf hervorgegangen ist.
Bei Braunsbedra entstand mit dem Geiseltalsee der größte See Sachsen-Anhalts, der auch der größte künstliche See Deutschlands ist. Die Flutung begann am 30. Juni 2003 und endete am 29. April 2011.
