Bad Camberg ist mit über 14.000 Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt im Süden des mittelhessischen Landkreises Limburg-Weilburg. Sie liegt im Hintertaunus, etwa 30 Kilometer nördlich der Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden und 20 Kilometer südlich der Kreisstadt Limburg an der Lahn. Bad Camberg ist der Zentralort des Goldenen Grunds mit guter Infrastruktur und ein Unterzentrum mit Teilfunktion eines Mittelzentrums am Rande des Rhein-Main-Gebietes. Der anerkannte Kneippkurort ist der älteste seiner Art in Hessen und der drittälteste in Deutschland. Das Wahrzeichen der Stadt ist die Kreuzkapelle.
