Neckarzimmern ist eine zum Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis gehörende Gemeinde in Baden-Württemberg . Sie ist Teil der europäischen Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar .
Neckarzimmern liegt im Neckartal an der Burgenstraße zwischen Heidelberg und Heilbronn auf einer Höhe von 138 bis 347 Metern. Das Gemeindegebiet befindet sich überwiegend entlang des Neckars im Naturpark Neckartal-Odenwald. Nach Norden zieht es sich den rechten Uferhang hinauf. Im Talgrund zerschneidet die B 27 zwischen Gundelsheim und Neckarelz sowie etwas oberhalb auf einem Damm die Eisenbahnlinie Heilbronn-Heidelberg die Gemarkung in Ost-West-Richtung.
