Gartow ist ein Flecken im Landkreis Lüchow-Dannenberg in Niedersachsen und gleichzeitig Sitz der Samtgemeinde Gartow.
Gartow liegt in der historischen Landschaft Wendland am westlichen Ufer der Seege, eines linken Elbzuflusses, der sich nördlich von Gartow zu einem in den 1970er Jahren künstlich aufgestauten See ausweitet. Der Ort befindet sich im Gebiet der Gartower Elbmarsch innerhalb der Niedersächsischen Elbtalaue. Südwestlich dehnt sich ein großes Kiefernwaldgebiet, die Gartower Tannen, aus. Die höchste Erhebung, die Hahnenberge, beträgt 32 m.
