Die Opel Automobile GmbH Eisenach ist ein in Eisenach, Thüringen, ansässiges Werk der
Opel Automobile GmbH mit 1.800 Mitarbeitern.
Im März 1990 wurde eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Automobilwerk Eisenach und der Adam Opel AG vereinbart und der Aufbau eines Eisenacher Opelwerkes in dem in den 1980er Jahren errichteten AWE-Betriebsteil im Gries, im Westen der Wartburgstadt, beschlossen. Bereits am 5. Oktober 1990 wurde gemeinsam mit dem damaligen Automobilwerk Eisenach eine Montagelinie für den Opel Vectra eröffnet. Ehrengast der feierlichen Inbetriebnahme war Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl.
