Das Kloster Heisterbach war eine Zisterzienser-Abtei im Siebengebirge . Die Klosterruine Heisterbach liegt zwischen Oberdollendorf und Heisterbacherrott im Tal des Heisterbachs, eines orographisch linken Zuflusses des Dollendorfer Bachs .
Der Orden der Zisterzienser entstand 1098 als Reformbewegung bei den Benediktinern. Seine Blütezeit erlebte er unter Bernhard von Clairvaux.
