Christoph 9 ist ein vom Bundesministerium des Innern an der Duisburger Berufsgenossenschaftlichen Unfallklinik im südlichen Stadtteil Buchholz betriebener Rettungshubschrauber. Die dreiköpfige Besatzung fliegt jährlich bis zu 1.300 Einsätze im Umkreis von 50 Kilometern um das am 16. September 1975 eröffnete Luftrettungszentrum im Duisburger Süden. Seit einer Euregio-Kooperation im Jahr 2003 wird Christoph 9 auch zu grenzüberschreitenden Einsätzen in den Niederlanden alarmiert. Im Februar 2008 wurde ein neuer Hubschrauber vom Typ Eurocopter EC 135 T2i in Dienst gestellt, der die zwölf Jahre alte BO 105 ersetzte.
