Die Opekta GmbH war ein 1928 von Robert Feix und Richard Fackeldey gegründetes Unternehmen der Lebensmittelindustrie mit Stammsitz in Köln. Unter gleichnamiger Marke, einem Kunstwort aus „Obstpektin aus dem Apfel“, bot es vor allem Pektin und pektinhaltige Produkte für die Herstellung von Marmeladen und Fruchtgelees an – als erster Hersteller in Packungsgrößen für Privathaushalte. Opekta wurde schnell zum Gattungsnamen für derartige Geliermittel.
