Der Mergbach ist der etwa 10,9 km lange linke Quellbach der Gersprenz im südhessischen Odenwald. Als Hauptzufluss wird er auch als ein Teilstrang der Gersprenz angesehen.
Der Name Mergbach ist schon auf Karten aus dem Jahre 1895 zu lesen. Danach wurde er oft als Gersprenz bezeichnet, weshalb seine Quelle auch den Namen Gersprenz-Quelle bekam. Im Jahr 2013 wurde diese kurzzeitig wieder in Mergbach-Quelle umbenannt. Schon im darauffolgenden Jahr wurde dies allerdings revidiert; die Quelle ist nun wieder als Gersprenzquelle beschildert.
