Veldrom, Feldrom und Kempen bilden seit der Gemeindereform 1970 eine Ortschaft, die zur Stadt Horn-Bad Meinberg gehört und im nordrhein-westfälischen Kreis Lippe, Regierungsbezirk Detmold, liegt. Im Ort leben gut 830 Menschen .
Historisch gehörte Veldrom, das sich im Tal befindet, zum evangelischen Fürstentum Lippe. Feldrom, das am Eggehang liegt, und das Nachbardorf Kempen waren vor 1970 in der Gemeinde Kempenfeldrom vereinigt und über Jahrhunderte nördlichster Zipfel des katholischen Fürstbistums Paderborn, mit dem sie 1802 an Preußen fielen.
