Das heutige Schloss wurde im Jülicher Zeitalter 1740 gegründet, als Wohnsitz und Sitz des Landdrosts von Jülich. Genießen Sie hier einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Die Burganlage, bestehend aus dem im Hintergrund erkennbaren Bergfried (Wachtturm des älteren Schlosses) und dem im Vordergrund stehenden (neueren) Schloss, ist der wichtigste Teil von Wassenberg.
