Zu Beginn der Wanderung streifen Sie durch Gräser und Wiesen, die an Steppe erinnern.
In der Nähe von Laucha (Unstrut) wird das kleine Industrie-Örtchen Karsdorf von der 2668 m langen Unstruttalbrücke überquert – eine eindrucksvolle Konstruktion.
Am Aussichtspunkt haben Sie über die Bahnstrecke, die in den Osterbergtunnel führt, einen faszinierenden Blick über die Brücke und Karsdorf.
Im weiteren Verlauf kommen Sie ebenso an einigen Weinbergen vorbei.
