Der Kopenhagener Brand von 1795 begann am 5. Juli 1795 um 15:00 Uhr auf dem ehemaligen Marinestützpunkt südöstlich von Kongens Nytorv auf Gammelholm. Das Feuer brach in der Holz- und Kohlenlagerstätte aus, zu einem Zeitpunkt, als die Arbeiter bereits nach Hause gegangen waren. Dies führte dazu, dass die ersten Löscharbeiten verzögert wurden.
