Roda de Ter ist eine katalanische Gemeinde in der Provinz Barcelona im Nordosten Spaniens. Sie liegt in der Comarca Osona.
An der Stelle einer iberischen Stadt wurde eine römische Villa errichtet. In ihrem späteren befestigten Zustand bestand sie bis 826, als sie von Aissó im Aufstand gegen den fränkischen Grafen Bernhard von Septimanien zerstört wurde. Es vergingen viele Jahre, bis sie wieder besiedelt wurde und langsam wuchs. Die Unabhängigkeit der Bergbewohner Nordkataloniens äußerte sich im Banditentum. Die Anführer der Banditen konnten Bauern oder lokale Adlige sein. In einem Fall wurde 1646 das gesamte Dorf Roda de Ter kurzzeitig als fautors inhaftiert, weil sie Mitglieder einer lokalen Bande beherbergt hatten.
