Vigo ist eine Hafen- und Industriestadt mit 295.364 Einwohnern in der Provinz Pontevedra in der autonomen Region Galicien im Nordwesten Spaniens. Die an der Ría de Vigo gelegene Universitätsstadt ist die größte Stadt Galiciens.
Vigo liegt im Süden der nach der Stadt benannten etwa 35 Kilometer langen Ría de Vigo, die zu den Rías Baixas zählt, am Atlantischen Ozean. Die Stadt erstreckt sich an den Hängen des Monte del Castro rund um einen Naturhafen.
