Puerto del Carmen, ein ehemaliges Fischerdorf, liegt im Gebiet der Gemeinde Tías und ist der wichtigste und größte Touristenort der Kanareninsel Lanzarote.
An der Uferpromenade auf einer Länge von etwa acht Kilometern liegen viele Appartementanlagen und diverse Hotels entlang der ausgedehnten Strände Playa Blanca und Playa de los Pocillos, zusammengefasst unter dem Namen Playa Grande. In Richtung Arrecife schließt sich die Playa Matagorda an. Puerto del Carmen bietet Platz für etwa 30.000 Gäste. Hauptsächlich Deutsche und Briten, gefolgt von Skandinaviern und Spaniern bilden das Publikum.
