Die Abteikirche aus dem 11. bis 17. Jahrhundert ist ein schönes Beispiel für die romanische Kunst, die von der Saintonge und dem Poitou beeinflusst wurde: Ambulatorium, achteckiger Glockenturm, hochwertiges Skulpturendekor. Die Abtei wurde im 11. Jahrhundert von Wilhelm VIII. von Aquitanien gegründet und beherbergte im 12. Jahrhundert eine Gemeinschaft, die dem Orden des Heiligen Augustinus unterstellt war. Sie wurde mehrmals verwüstet (Hundertjähriger Krieg, Religionskriege), im 18. Jahrhundert wieder aufgebaut und 1792 als Nationalgut verkauft. Im Sommer werden verschiedene Werke ausgestellt.
Die Besichtigung der Abteiwohnung ist in der Führung inbegriffen, Reservierung erforderlich.
