Wenn der zentrale Strand für Ihren Geschmack etwas zu voll ist, gehen Sie zum Südstrand von Lacanau! Um dorthin zu gelangen, können Sie auf einem etwas abseits gelegenen Parkplatz parken oder mit dem Fahrrad kommen, denn auch das ist Urlaub! Der Zugang zum Strand erfolgt über eine Überquerung der Düne, die mit Gitterrosten ausgestattet ist. Es gibt auch einen Fußweg entlang des Strandes, über den man vom Zentralstrand aus direkt zum Südstrand gelangen kann (ca. 600 m).
Dieser bewachte Strand bietet jedem die Möglichkeit, sich unbeschwert zu amüsieren. Für mehr Komfort sorgen verschiedene Einrichtungen, wie z. B. Sanitäranlagen und ein großer Fahrradpark.
Tiere sind in den Sommermonaten am Strand nicht erlaubt.
