Die Route führt durch das weniger bekannte Nordgebiet der Ardèche. Von Privas aus beginnt die Strecke mit einem Anstieg in Richtung Vernoux-En-Vivarais. Dann führt es über Lamastre zurück nach Südosten nach Saint-agreve, dem Beginn des Flusses Eyrieux. Der erste Teil dieses Flusses ist nicht konstant mit dem Motorrad befahrbar, aber ab Intres bleibt die Straße am Fluss. Sie folgen nun dem Fluss über die wunderschöne D120.
